I am excited to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Connecticut College. I first want to thank my parents for everything they have done for me and their tireless support of my dedication to the game of basketball over the past four years. I also want to thank my family and friends for all their support over the years and throughout my basketball career.
I would like to thank my trainer/coach Jalen and EW Skills Academy for helping me to continue to grow my game, give me guidance and advice, helping me to continue to reach my basketball aspirations and for always being there for me. I am grateful that he is committed to seeing me grow further and continue to improve my game.
I would also like to thank the Team Providence Organization and for including me as a part of their family and helping me develop as a player and as a person. I made many great friends from the program and a special thanks to Coach Carlos for being a great coach and role model.
Next I would like to thank the Beat the Odds Organization. This AAU team helped me learn the game and develop my skills as a young player. They worked with me early on to help me become the player I am today. I want to thank Coach Diggs, Coach Phil, and Coach Troy for helping me develop and helping me learn the AAU scene.
I want to give a special shoutout and thank you to North Providence High School, which gave me some of the best years of my life to date. I want to especially thank my teammates and my coaches Stacy, Mel, Sue and Nick as well as the athletic director Mr. Fic.
I would also like to give a special thanks to Coach Kyle, Coach Ben and my teammates at BCRI and my coaches, staff and teammates at Mt St Charles Academy, including the support of the team strength and conditioning trainer, Coach Jordan. There are so many others who supported me and helped me reach the point where I am today, which was evident by the overwhelming support at my Senior Day. While there are too many to name, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
I wanted to finally thank Coach Smith and Coach Shore for giving me the opportunity to continue my playing career as a member of the Connecticut College Women’s Basketball Team and my academic journey at Connecticut College. I am excited for my next four at Conn. Go Camels.
"The Cougars were young last season, but it didn’t take long for Hagopian to step up and turn into one of Division III’s top scorers, helping the team go 9-9 and get into the postseason. Hagopian has a terrific offensive mindset and she’ll be able to shoulder the load offensively as the still-young Cougars try to find their rhythm. North Providence might not be a favorite, but with Hagopian on the court, they’re a darkhorse contender in D-III"
